NAIA Women’s Volleyball Opening Round Results
The Heart of America Athletic Conference saw four programs—Missouri Baptist, Grand View, MidAmerica Nazarene, and Park—compete in the NAIA Women's Volleyball Opening Round on Saturday. The day featured elite offensive performances, hard-fought defensive stands, and several nationally-ranked matchups across the bracket.
Missouri Baptist 3, Dillard 0
(25–20, 25–21, 25–18)
Missouri Baptist delivered a dominant performance at home, sweeping Dillard behind a powerful offensive showing. The Spartans hit an impressive .330 as a team, led by Gabi Jakubowska's 20 kills (.395) and Fernanda Perini's 12 kills (.647). Missouri Baptist controlled every statistical category, finishing with 45 kills, 42 assists, and 25 total blocks, while holding Dillard to a .092 hitting percentage.
Midland 3, Grand View 0
(25–20, 25–20, 25–17)
Grand View put up a competitive fight but ultimately dropped a three-set match on the road to Midland. The Vikings were paced by Mariana de Carvalho and Vitoria Campos Mello, each recording 11 kills, while Grand View's defense tallied 37 digs. Despite strong play, Midland's .297 team hitting percentage proved decisive.
Dakota Wesleyan 3, Park 2
(25–19, 25–22, 22–25, 25–27, 15–8)
In one of the most dramatic matches of the weekend, Park stormed back from a 0–2 deficit to force a fifth set before ultimately falling short. The Pirates were led by Indi Zetic, who delivered a standout 25-kill performance, with additional support from Isadora Dias (14 kills) and Daniela Gomez (12 kills). Park totaled 65 kills and 90 digs in a gritty, high-tempo match.
Bushnell 3, MidAmerica Nazarene 0
(25–21, 25–16, 25–22)
MidAmerica Nazarene battled throughout the match but came up short on the road in straight sets. The Pioneers were led by Isabella Munari (9 kills), Mia Olson (9 kills), and Avery Lowe (8 kills). MNU hit .187 as a team while collecting 45 digs defensively.
The 46th Annual NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship will take place December 3–9, 2025, at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Missouri Baptist will join the nation's top programs as the championship field narrows to the final 24 teams. The Heart of America looks forward to supporting the Spartans as they compete on the sport's biggest stage and continue representing the conference.
