Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week, Presented by Tarkett Sports – Week 8

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Tarkett Sports.

Attacker of the Week

Mariana de Carvalho of Grand View is this week's Heart of America Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week. She averaged 4.64 kills per set, while hitting a percentage of .248 on the week. She picked up a week-high 27 kills in the team's 3-2 win over Park.

Setter of the Week

Callie Winebarger of MidAmerica Nazarene is this week's Heart of America Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week. Winebarger recorded 5.7 assists and 2.7 digs per set as the Pioneers were 3-0 on the week. She had seven service aces against Grand View on Saturday with four of those coming in the first four points of the match.

Defender of the Week

Emily Mathis of MidAmerica Nazarene is this week's Heart of America Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week. Mathis averaged 5.9 digs per set as the Pioneers went 3-0 on the week, losing just one set. After picking up 27 digs against Benedictine, Mathis had 16 digs in each match against William Penn and Grand View.
