Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week, Presented by Tarkett Sports – Week 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Tarkett Sports.

Attacker of the Week

Luciana Paiva Pereira of William Woods University is this week's Heart of America Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week. She led the Owls to four wins on the week, putting down 62 kills with a hitting percentage of .453. She put herself in the William Woods record book with the fifth most kills in a match with 22 against John Brown.

Setter of the Week

Valentina Navarro of Missouri Baptist is this week's Heart of America Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week. She tallied 175 assists over four matches and helped the Spartans to a win over (RV) Indiana Tech with 52 assists. She also added 58 assists against (RV) Taylor and 38 against No. 14 Mount Vernon Nazarene.

Defender of the Week

Fernanda Perini of Missouri Baptist has earned the Heart's first Defender of the Week award. In four matches this week, Perini totaled 20 blocks with three solo blocks to help MBU to wins over Indiana Tech, St. Francis and Mount Vernon Nazarene. This is Perini's second Heart of America Player of the Week award this season.
