Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week – November 1

A pair of repeat winners and a first time winner in 2021 highlight this week's Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week awards, as No. 4 ranked Park University's Nada Meawad earned her sixth Heart Attacker of the Week award, while Krystal Brauner of No. 13 ranked Central Methodist captured her third Heart Defender of the Week honor and Amanda Mendes of Park was selected the Heart Setter of the Week for the first time this season.

Meawad and the Pirates went 3-0 last week to capture the 2021 Heart Women's Volleyball Regular Season Championship outright with 3-0 wins over Benedictine, Clarke and Mount Mercy. 

The Cairo, Egypt product accounted for 50 kills on the week and averaged 5.56 kills per set. She hit .483 on the week and had 26 digs in the three matches, averaging 2.89 digs per set.

Teammate Mendes, appeared in the wins over Clarke and Mount Mercy at the setter spot and had 62 assists in those two matches, good for an average of 12.40 assists per set.

She also had seven kills and nine digs in the two victories. 

Brauner and the Eagles had two sweeps last week with wins over Graceland and Peru State. She averaged an impressive 6.67 digs per set in the victories.

In the win over Peru State, she became CMU's all-time leader in career digs. For the week she had 40 digs and four service aces.
