Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week – October 25
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its ninth edition of the Heart Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week awards, as Taylor Carey of No. 24 Grand View was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week, Marea Wortmann of Benedictine is the Heart Setter of the Week and for the second time this season, Krystal Brauner of No. 10 CMU is the Heart Defender of the Week.

Carey and the Vikings had three sweeps last week with wins over Mount Mercy, Benedictine and Baker.
She had 34 kills on the week, averaging 3.78 kills per set and posted a hitting percentage of .470.
Wortmann and the Ravens went 1-1 last week with a loss to No. 24 Grand View and a sweep of William Penn.
The Overland Park, Kansas native had 35 assists against Grand View and an impressive 46 assists in just three sets against William Penn. For the week, she averaged 13.5 assists per set.
In four matches last week, Brauner totaled 83 digs, averaging 5.53 digs per set. She also won this award back on September 13.
