2026 Heart Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Men's Postseason Awards Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Men's Postseason Awards on Monday afternoon.
Each award was voted upon by the Heart Track & Field head coaches and are based on results from the Heart Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships held last weekend on the campus of Mount Mercy.
Coach of the Year – Kenny Anderson, Central Methodist
Kenny Anderson led Central Methodist to the 2026 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, totaling 237.5 points. The title marks back-to-back outdoor championships for the Eagles, their third in the last four seasons, and their seventh conference title—indoor or outdoor—over the past six years.
Assistant Coach of the Year – Jacob Cofer, Benedictine
Jacob Cofer guided Benedictine's endurance group to a dominant performance, accounting for 111 team points at the conference meet. His athletes excelled in the distance events, including the 5,000m and 10,000m, while producing two national qualifiers.
Track Athlete of the Meet – Ceci Campos, Benedictine
Cecilia Campos turned in an outstanding meet, scoring 24.5 points with three individual and relay victories. She claimed titles in the 800m and 1500m, contributed to a winning 4x800 relay that hit an NAIA B standard, and added a runner-up finish in the 4x400.
Field Athlete of the Meet – Mary Lorang, Benedictine
Mary Lorang delivered a dominant showing in the throws, totaling 28 points with conference titles in the javelin and discus. She recorded an NAIA A standard and the top mark in the nation in the javelin, while also adding a second-place finish in the hammer.
