Heart Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, Presented by WinWon Technologies – Week 5

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, Presented by WinWon Technologies.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Akeelah Knox of Central Methodist is this week's Heart of America Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. Knox hit at least the B Standard in four different events. She hit the B Standard in the 100-meter hurdles and the 4x100-meter relay, while hitting the A Standard in the 100-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash. Her time of 13.62 in the 100-meter hurdles was a new personal best and her time of 23.75 sets a new school record in the 200-meter dash.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Haley Bellamy of Central Methodist is this week's Heart of America Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. Bellamy hit the A Standard in the high jump with a height of 1.70 meters. She also won the long jump with a B Standard mark of 5.79 meters.
