Cunningham, Green Earn First Heart Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Honors of 2022
In the first installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly awards of 2022, Central Methodist University’s Keiara-Ashley Cunningham was selected the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Madison Green of Grand View earned the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor.
In the first installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly awards of 2022, Central Methodist University's Keiara-Ashley Cunningham was selected the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Madison Green of Grand View earned the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Green won the discus last weekend at the Vikings Relays with an automatic national qualifying mark of 46.35m which currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA.
She also placed second in the hammer throw with a NAIA B standard mark of 49.70m which is No. 6 in the NAIA. The West Des Moines, Iowa native also competed in the shot put and took home second place with a toss of 12.47m.
Cunningham and the Eagles took on the Margaret Simmons Invite on Saturday and she placed first in the women's 400m hurdles in a time of 1:03.72 to hit the 'B' standard of qualification for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
The Ontario, Canada product also placed second in the 4x400m relays with her time of 3:57.24.
