Senior Spotlight: Sierra Muellner (MidAmerica Nazarene)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference will be paying a tribute to our conference seniors over the next few weeks by spotlighting a number of our athletes.
Sierra Muellner, a Kansas native, has spent four seasons as a member of the MidAmerica Nazarene University women's track & field program. Muellner will be returning to the Pioneers next season to compete while completing an accelerated Elementary Education program.
"MidAmerica Nazarene has made me grow, not only in my relationship with Christ but also with others on my team and people at the university," shared Muellner.
On the track, Muellner regularly competes in the 200m, 400m, and 4x400m races. Her most notable achievement thus far has been returning from an injury to set a new personal record. She set a pair of college-best times this season at the Heart Indoor Track & Field Championships after clocking 30.13 in the 200m and 1:07.58 in the 400m.
"My advice to other athletes during this time would be to remember that your sport isn't everything. Everything is the people around you," stated Muellner.
