2021 Heart Women’s Soccer All-Conference Teams Announced

Sandra Jakobsen of No. 5 nationally ranked Central Methodist was selected for two major awards, as the sophomore earned the 2021 Heart Women's Soccer Conference player of the Year and Heart Offensive Player of the Year awards.
The Svendborg, Denmark native led the NAIA in assists this season with 17 and had 11 in Heart regular season play.
She also added five goals for the Eagles, helping lead CMU to a 16-1 overall record and conference mark of 12-0.
Her teammate Laura Riesenbeck was named the 2021 Heart Defensive Player of the Year. She helped lead the CMU defense to 14 shut out victories and the defense allowed just one goal in the entire Heart regular season.
Another Eagle, Marcella Helena, was selected the 2021 Heart Freshman of the Year award. The freshman from Minas Gerais, Brazil scored nine goals this season and had nine assists.
Baker University's Melissa Siegel garnered the 2021 Heart Newcomer of the Year honor in her first season with the Wildcats. Siegel scored 17 goals and added six assists this season.
Tyler Tomlinson and his coaching staff have been named the 2021 Heart Women's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year.
This marks Coach Tominson's first Heart Coach of the Year honor. He led the Wildcats to a 13-4-1 overall record and 8-3-1 mark in Heart play, finishing the regular season in fourth-place. He also earned his 100th career win in the Wildcats' 3-2 win over MidAmerica Nazarene on October 23.
The CMU Eagles have earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2021 Heart Women's Soccer Conference Tournament after capturing the regular season championship outright.
