Heart Women’s Soccer Players of the Week – September 27

For the third time this season, No. 8 Central Methodist senior midfielder Andrea Villar has been selected the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Grand View midfielder Caitlyn Hanafan earned her first Heart Defensive Player of the Week of the 2021 season.

Villar scored six goals for the Eagles last week and netted her second-straight four-goal game in the contest against Evangel last Wednesday. She followed that up with two more goals in the win over William Penn.

The Madrid, Spain product has scored an impressive 17 goals in the Eagles' eight matches so far this season. CMU defeated Evangel, 7-1, then took down William Penn, 2-0.

Hanafan and the Vikings went 2-0 last week with a 2-1 win over William Penn and 3-0 victory over Evangel.

The midfielder not only helped the defense secure those two victories, but she also scored the game-winner against William Penn.
