Benedictine’s Clare Hanson and Kaylen Moore Earn NAIA Women’s Lacrosse National Honors
Clare Hanson and Kaylen Moore of Benedictine College earned top national honors from the NAIA on Sunday evening, as Hanson was named the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year and Moore was selected as the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year ahead of the national championship in Decatur, Ala.
Moore was named the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year after another standout season for the Ravens. The senior from Seattle, Wash., ranked among the national leaders throughout the year, totaling 100 points and 44 assists while leading the NAIA with 144 draw controls entering the national tournament. Her efforts helped Benedictine secure possession consistently and remain one of the top teams in the country throughout the season.
Hanson earned 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year honors in her fifth season leading the Ravens. Hanson guided Benedictine to another dominant campaign, with the Ravens ranking among the top three nationally in nine statistical categories entering the national tournament, including goals per game (22.50) and draw controls per game (21.38). Hanson previously led Benedictine to NAIA National Championships in 2021 and 2025.
The national honors also highlighted the continued success of the Heart of America Athletic Conference on the national stage, as Hanson and Moore previously earned the conference's Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year and Player of the Year honors earlier this season.
Benedictine also placed seven student-athletes on the NAIA Women's Lacrosse All-America teams, helping the Ravens earn the second-most All-Americans in the country in 2026.
