Larsen, Weishaar Capture Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, presented by WinWon.

For the fourth-straight week, Ella Larsen of (RV) Grand View was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week, while Josie Weishaar of (RV) Benedictine earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Weishaar, who leads the Heart in made three-point baskets, averaged 21.3 points per game last week and made 15 total three's in three victories for the Ravens.

BC defeated Grand View, 89-87, Park, 96-60, and Culver-Stockton, 68-49.

Larsen and the Vikings went 1-1 last week, with the loss to Benedictine, but responded with a win over Peru State, 90-61.

The senior grabbed eight defensive rebounds, along with two steals and a block against Benedictine. Then against Peru State, she had nine defensive rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
