Larsen, Werth Selected Heart Women's Basketball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week awards, presented by WinWon on Monday afternoon.

Zaylee Werth of No. 14 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Ella Larsen of (RV) Grand View was named the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Werth and the Pioneers stayed undefeated in Heart play this year with wins over Peru State at home, 86-57, and at (RV) Benedictine in the Heart Game of the week, 65-49.

The freshman averaged 17 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Larsen averaged 13.5 rebounds per game and nine defensive rebounds per game in two road victories last week, at Clarke, 93-79 and at Culver-Stockton, 76-65. In the win over Culver-Stockton, the senior had two steals and two blocks.
