Green, Ortiz Selected Heart Women’s Basketball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is proud to announce this week's Heart Women's Basketball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon.

Two first time winners in 2024 highlighted the awards, as Kameron Green of No. 24 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene was selected the Heart Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, while Sara Ortiz of Missouri Valley College was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Green and the Pioneers went 2-0 last week with a home win over Park, 79-48, and an 84-63 home win over Baker.

The 2023-24 Heart Freshman of the Year averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.

Ortiz and the Vikings defeated Central Methodist, 72-63, last week. In the victory, the junior had eight defensive rebounds and three steals.
