For the second time this season, No. 7 nationally ranked Central Methodist’s Arleighshya McElroy has been selected the Heart Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
For the second time this season, No. 7 nationally ranked Central Methodist's Arleighshya McElroy has been selected the Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Last week the Dallas, Texas product averaged 35.5 points per game, as she scored 28 points in the 91-49 win over William Penn and then had an impressive 43 points the Eagles' road loss at Missouri Valley, 94-86.
For the week, she hit 10, three-point field goals, shooting 40-percent from behind the arc and was nearly perfect from the free-throw line, shooting 90.5-percent on 19-of-21.
She also averaged 4.5 assists per game in the two games and 7.0 rebounds per game.
McElroy also won the award back on November 8. The Eagles are now 9-3 overall and 1-3 in Heart play.
