Heart Softball Players of the Week, Presented by Musco Lighting – Week 9

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Softball Players of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Player of the Week

Lauren Hefel of Clarke is this week's Heart of America Softball Player of the Week. Hefel hit a clutch go-ahead home run over Baker to break a 6-6 tie in the sixth inning, capping off a week where she hit .429 with four doubles, one home run and drove in eight RBI.

Pitcher of the Week

Mandy Brown of MidAmerica Nazarene is this week's Heart of America Softball Pitcher of the week. Brown struck out 33 batters this week in 21 innings of work. She threw three complete games and posted a record of 2-1 with an ERA of 1.67.
