Heart Game of the Week, presented by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce 

Each week, the Heart spotlights one of the conference's top matchups, showcasing the student-athletes and programs that elevate competition across the NAIA. 

This week's Heart Conference Game of the Week, presented by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, features a nationally ranked softball showdown between No. 13 Grand View and No. 10 Missouri Baptist. The doubleheader will be hosted by Missouri Baptist at Spartan Softball Field in St. Louis, Missouri, with first pitch scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and game two set for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. 

Grand View enters the matchup with a 14–6 overall record and a 2–0 mark in conference play, coming off a dominant doubleheader sweep of Peru State on Friday, March 13, winning 10–0 and 11–0. 

Missouri Baptist brings a 16–5 overall record and a 2–0 conference record into the contest after sweeping Baker in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 14. The Spartans secured a 2–1 victory in game one before earning an 11–1 win in game two. 

The last time these two programs met was on March 14, 2022, in a non-conference matchup where Missouri Baptist earned an 8–0 run-rule victory in five innings. This will mark the first meeting between the two nationally ranked teams in Heart of America Athletic Conference regular season play. 

With both teams off to undefeated starts in conference action and carrying national rankings, this matchup presents an early opportunity to gain positioning in the Heart standings as the season continues.
