Heart Softball Players of the Week, Presented by Musco Lighting – Week 8

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Softball Players of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Player of the Week

Alena Velilla of Benedictine is this week's Heart of America Softball Player of the Week. Velilla picked up at least one hit in each of the four games this weekend, tallying nine total hits for a batting average of .643. She had three doubles, one triple and two home runs as the Ravens swept Culver-Stockton and Graceland.

Pitcher of the Week

Taylor Baumhoer of William Woods is this week's Heart of America Softball Pitcher of the Week. Baumhoer went 3-0 on the week, racking up 21 strikeouts and only allowing three earned runs on the week in wins over Missouri Valley, William Penn and Grand View.
