Heart Softball Players of the Week - April 7

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Softball weekly honors on Monday.

Bailey Selvage of (RV) Benedictine captured the Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week, while Lauren Hill of No. 9 nationally ranked Central Methodist was named the Heart Player of the Week.

CMU went 3-1 last week in Heart games, sweeping Missouri Valley, then splitting with Benedictine in the NAIASB/Heart Series of the Week.

For the week, Hill hit .692 with a slugging percentage of 1.231. She hit four doubles and a home run and knocked in seven RBIs.

Selvage went 2-0 last week with 16 total strikeouts. He best game of the week came against rival CMU, when she threw a complete-game shutout in a 1-0 win over the Eagles.
