Heart Wrestlers of the Week, Presented by Musco Lighting – Week 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Wrestlers of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Men's Wrestler of the Week

Christion Griggs of Benedictine is this week's Heart of America Men's Wrestler of the Week. Griggs went 7-0 on the week winning all three matches at the Loosbrock Duals followed by all four matches at the Service Salute Invite. Along with a 3-0 start to the Service Salute, he defeated his teammate by tech-fall, 21-4, to win the championship match.

Women's Wrestler of the Week

Mikayla Jardine of Dickinson State is this week's Heart of America Women's Wrestler of the Week. Jardine went 4-0 to clinch a share of the 117-pound title at the Battle of the Rockies. Her and her teammate Jazmine Turner shared the title. She defeated the No. 11 ranked Julia Daus in the semifinals to clinch her spot in the finals.
