Heart Wrestlers of the Week, Presented by Musco Lighting – Week 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Wrestlers of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Men's Wrestler of the Week

Guiseppe Guerra of St. Ambrose is the first Heart of America Men's Wrestler of the Week. Guerra posted a 2-0 record on the week including a 5-4 decision over the No. 11-ranked wrestler in the NAIA.

Women's Wrestler of the Week

Avy Perez of William Penn is the first Heart of America Women's Wrestler of the Week. Perez was a perfect 3-0 on the week, winning the 110-pound weight class at the Simpson Luther Hill Invitational. She defeated the No. 4-ranked wrestler in the NCAA in the finals.
