Heart Game of the Week, presented by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce 

Each week, the Heart spotlights one of the conference's top matchups, showcasing the student-athletes and programs that elevate competition across the NAIA. 

This week's Heart Conference Game of the Week, presented by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, features a men's volleyball matchup between Park University and Grand View. The match is set for Tuesday, March 31, with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Grand View enters the matchup receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll, holding a 12–6 overall record and an 11–5 mark in conference play. The Vikings are currently riding a four-match winning streak and have been strong on both sides of the ball, averaging 12.6 kills per set, 11.6 digs per set, and 2.4 blocks per set, while hitting .249 as a team. 

Park comes into the contest ranked No. 2 nationally and remains undefeated on the season with a 25–0 overall record and a perfect 16–0 mark in conference play. The Pirates have been dominant throughout the year, averaging 13.2 kills per set, 2.6 blocks per set, and boasting an impressive .369 hitting percentage. 

The last meeting between these two programs came on April 12, 2025, when Grand View defeated Park 3–1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Quarterfinals (20–25, 25–22, 25–22, 25–21). 

With postseason positioning on the line, Tuesday's matchup carries significant implications. Park has the opportunity to clinch at least a share of the Heart of America Athletic Conference regular-season title and the number one seed in the Heart Conference Tournament, while Grand View looks to extend its win streak and secure a statement victory over one of the top teams in the nation.
