Heart Men's Volleyball Players of the Week Announced - March 3

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Week awards, presented by Molten on Monday afternoon.

Marko Jovanovic of No. 7 ranked Missouri Baptist was named the Heart Attacker of the Week, while teammate Veljko Culibrk was named the Heart Defender of the Week and Brady Zell of (RV) William Penn captured the Heart Setter of the Week award.

The Spartans went 3-0 last week, all Heart victories, including a 3-2 road win over No. 5 Park.

For the week, Jovanovic had 18 kills and posted 3.45 kills per set. The junior also had two aces, three blocks and five digs.

Teammate Culibrik, had 10 total blocks and four kills at the middle hitter position. He averaged 1.64 blocks per set in the three victories.

Zell, who is a freshman from Wales, Wisconsin, had a double-double with 44 assists and 12 digs in a tough road win at Grand View on February 25. For the week, he averaged 10.13 assists per set in wins over Grand View and Graceland.
