No. 7 Spartans, No. 5 Park Earn Heart Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten on Monday afternoon.

Michael Olson of No. 7 Missouri Baptist earned the Heart Attacker of the Week, while teammate David Rudic was selected the Heart Setter of the Week and Moises Ortiz of No. 5 Park earned the Heart Defender of the Week.

This marked the second-straight Heart Setter of the Week for Rudic. The senior helped lead the Spartans to a pair of conference wins last week, a 3-0 win over Dordt and a 3-1 win over (RV) Morningside.

The senior had 46 assists in the win over Dordt and 43 against Morningside. He also had four blocks against Dordt. For the week, he averaged 12.71 assists per set.

Olson had 17 kills against Dordt and another 14 against Morningside. For the week, he posted a hitting percentage of .450.

Ortiz helped Park to a 1-1 record last week. In the two matches, the freshman had 11 total blocks, with six against No. 10 Mount Mercy and five against Clarke. He also had 17 kills overall.
