Jovanovic, Ortiz and Rudic Capture Heart Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

No. 11 ranked Missouri Baptist earned two awards, as David Rudic was selected the Heart Setter of the Week and Marko Jovanovic earned the Heart Attacker of the Week.

Moises Ortiz of No. 6 Park earned the Heart Defender of the Week award.

Jovanovic had 44 total kills in three matches last week, as the junior had 17 kills against No. 10 ranked Missouri Valley and 18 kills against Ottawa. The junior averaged 4.00 kills per set.

Teammate Rudic, recorded his 3,000th career assist for the Spartans last week and had an impressive 52 assists in the win over nationally ranked Missouri Valley.

The Pirates went 3-0 last week and the freshman middle blocker had 11 total blocks with eight against No. 10 Missouri Valley. He also had 14 kills on the week and hit .385.
