2026 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Men's Postseason Awards Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Men's Postseason Awards on Monday afternoon. 

Each award was voted upon by the Heart Track & Field head coaches and are based on results from the Heart Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships held last weekend on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University. 

2026 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year – Rikki Hacker, Park 

Hacker and the Pirates claimed their first-ever Heart Indoor Track & Field Championship with 174 total points. 

2026 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year - Devan Sawyerr, MidAmerica Nazarene 

Sawyerr and the Pioneers took second at the championship with 112 points. 

2026 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Meet - Cody Hammond, Park 

Hammond earned the most points of any male athlete and freshman athlete at the 2026 Heart Indoor Championships with 30 points. Hammond was an individual champion in the men's one mile with a time of 4:18.28.  

2026 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field - Field Athlete of the Meet – Xzavion West, William Penn 

West scored 20 total points in at the championship meet and was an individual champion in the men's shot put throwing 16.37 meters, and the men's weight throw throwing 18.56 meters.
