Senior Spotlight: Austin Hill (Grand View)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference will be paying a tribute to our conference seniors over the next few weeks by spotlighting a number of our athletes.
Austin Hill, an Iowa native, is a member of the Grand View University men's track and field program and our first spotlighted senior. Hill is a two-time NAIA All-American, an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and was a member of the 2020 Heart of America Indoor Conference Championship team this season.
"I've been fortunate enough to make many valuable friendships and memories while at Grand View that I'll cherish for life," said Hill.
Hill competed as a member of Grand View's dominating throwing group and earned a 6th place finish at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship this season in the weight throw. He also claimed a 3rd place finish in the weight throw and a 2nd place finish in the shot put at the conference championship this season, earning All-Conference honors in both events.
"My advice to other athletes during this time would be to stay positive with everything going on," stated Hill. "Try and keep a routine of class and training to stay set up for a great season, whenever it happens again!"
