Heart Football Players of the Week, Presented by Musco Lighting – Week 7
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Football Players of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.
Offensive Player of the Week
Alec Ponder of St. Ambrose is this week's Heart of America Football Offensive Player of the Week. Ponder threw for 302 yards and five touchdowns. His last touchdown came on a nine-yard completion on fourth and six with five seconds left that gave St. Ambrose a 37-36 lead.
Defensive Player of the Week
Marquis Harry of William Penn is this week's Heart of America Football Defensive Player of the Week. Harry intercepted a pass and took it back 86 yards for a touchdown, for the seventh longest interception return in team history. He also had five tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Christian Klobe of Benedictine is this week's Heart of America Special Teams Player of the Week. Klobe converted a 55-yard field goal in the first quarter to set a new program record. The previous record of 54 yards had stood since 1978. He also went 7-for-7 on PATs.
