Heart Football Players of the Week – October 25
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Football Players of the Week on Monday afternoon and two repeat winners highlight the group, as Benedictine’s Garrett Kettle captured his second Heart Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Samuel Petrin of CMU earned his second Heart Special Teams Player of the Week and Clarke University’s Kenneth Spaight was selected his first Heart Defensive Player of the Week award of 2021.

Kettle and the Ravens improved to 5-3 on the season with a 47-37 win over Missouri Valley, he accounted for all six of BC's touchdowns with four passing and two rushing.
The senior went 18-of-28 passing for 351 yards and ran 13 times for 49 yards. The Ravens will next travel to Baldwin City, Kansas to face No. 6 Baker in a Heart South match up.
Spaight led the Pride's strong defensive effort against (RV) Culver-Stockton last Saturday, as they limited the Wildcats to just 17 points.
The Rodeo, California native had a team-high 12 tackles and a forced fumble at the goal line that resulted in a touchback for the Wildcats.
Petrin had a terrific game for the Eagles in their 41-24 road win at MidAmerica Nazarene, as the senior went 5-for-5 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points.
He also had three punts for 129 yards, with two punts landing inside the 20 yard line.
