Sydney Divoky of Grand View Named Heart Dancer of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Dancer of the Week award, on Monday afternoon.

Sydney Divoky of Grand View University was selected the Heart Dancer of the Week after the Vikings won the Viking Challenge Triangular.

Grand View scored 87.65 points in the competition, while Morningside finished second with an 82.40 and College of St. Mary was third with a 70.15.

In order to nominate a dancer for the Heart Dancer of the Week award, the Heart competitive dance team that earns the highest score during a competition for the week of Jan. 20-26 is eligible for the Heart Dancer of the Week award.

The team with the highest score will select one dancer from their team and that dancer will garner the award.
