Baker Wins Back-to-Back Heart Competitive Dance Championships
For the second-straight season, the Baker University dance team has captured the 2023 Heart of America Athletic Conference Competitive Dance Championship, as they won the title on Saturday with a total of 89.48 points.
For the second-straight season, the Baker University dance team has captured the 2023 Heart of America Athletic Conference Competitive Dance Championship, as they won the title on Saturday with a total of 89.48 points.
Baker edged second-place Grand View, who placed second with 87.84 points. Benedictine College took home third with 84.99 points.
The Wildcats also won the Heart Competitive Dance Conference Championship in 2022 and 2020.
For the first time in 2023, the Heart awarded a Heart Competitive Dancer of the Year award. Dancers from across the conference submitted an All-Conference tryout video, which was judged by the official 2023 Heart Competitive Dance Conference Championship judges.
The dancer with the highest score from the tryout, earned Heart Dancer of the Year. The scores also determined the 2023 Heart Competitive Dance First, Second and Honorable Mention Team All-Conference award winners.
