(RV) Central Methodist Sweeps Heart Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week Accolades

After a successful four-game sweep of Benedictine last week, (RV) Central Methodist swept the Heart Baseball weekly awards, as Jeremy Conforti earned the Heart Player of the Week, while Alan West garnered the Heart Pitcher of the Week.

Conforti and the Eagles defeated the Ravens, 5-2, 11-2, 3-1 and 9-7. In the four games, the Villa Park, Ill., native hit .500, going 6-for-12.

He also hit four home runs, a double and dove in seven RBI's. He tallied 19 total bases and scored five times.

West threw the second no-hitter in CMU baseball history on Sunday against the Ravens. In the victory, the senior pitched a complete game and struck out 10 batters and walked just one. He surrendered one earned run, off of an error by the Eagle defense.
