First Heart Women’s Wrestler of the Week Award of 2025 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Women's Wrestler of the Week award of 2025, announced by Musco on Monday afternoon.

Victoria Nunez of Central Methodist University earned the honors after a solid showing at the Red Lady Duals.

The senior won the 117-pound weight class with three straight victories. In the semifinals, she upset No. 16 ranked Catherine Head of Lindsey Wilson College by Tech Fall, 12-2. Then in the championship bout, the El Paso, Texas native defeated Ro Adeduntan by Fall, 2:14.
