MOUNT MERCY MEN'S BOWLING – 2026 NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 

Mount Mercy Men's Bowling made history, capturing the program's first-ever national championship at the 2026 NAIA Men's and Women's Bowling National Championship, held March 19–21 in Lansing, Michigan. 

In its first national championship appearance, Mount Mercy defeated defending champion Marian (Ind.) 2-1 in the Mega Match final at Royal Scot Lanes. 

Mount Mercy dropped the opening traditional game (1027-1056) before responding in the Baker format, winning the five-game set 1,095-988 to even the match. 

With the title on the line, the Mustangs took control in Baker matchplay, winning four of five games to secure the championship. 

Mount Mercy's championship run was paired with multiple individual honors: 

National Honors 

• Player of the Year — Blake Walsh 

• Rookie of the Year — Jake Bockstie 

• Coach of the Year: Cassidy Courey 

NAIA All-America Honors

The Mustangs finish the season with a national title and four All-Americans, marking a historic year for the program.
