2022 Men’s and Women’s Tennis Conference Championships
The 2022 Men’s and Women’s Tennis Conference Championships featuring 13 men’s teams and nine women’s teams begins this Thursday, April 21 in Springfield, Mo. and will conclude with the championship on Saturday, April 23.
The 2022 Men's and Women's Tennis Conference Championships featuring 13 men's teams and nine women's teams ran from Thursday, April 21 to Saturday, April 23 in Springfield, Mo.
The postseason tournament consisted of teams from the Heart of America Athletic Conference, American Midwest Conference, the Red River Athletic Conference and the Sooner Athletic Conference. All four conferences have combined to create an unaffiliated conference grouping for this postseason event.
Two men's teams earned an automatic berth into the NAIA National Championship tournament, which was awarded to the two teams that advanced all the way to the Championship round. Those two teams include Xavier (La.) and William Woods (Mo.)
No. 1 Xavier defeated No. 2 William Woods, 4-0, in the championship match.
While the championship winning team in the women's tournament, earned the automatic berth to the NAIA National Championships.
No. 1 William Woods earned an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championships with its 4-0 victory over No. 2 Texas Wesleyan in the conference championship match.
The event took place at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Mo.
